NCAA Championship Selection for Monday night – UK vs UCONN

UK oneComplimentary Spot Plays selection for tonight’s big game in Dallas, TX

The KENTUCKY WILDCATS (-3) were the pre-season favorite to win it all and keep the title in the Bluegrass state, but a mid-season stumble, which included a shocking loss to South Carolina, resulted in an 8 seed for the tournament.  Just in time, Kentucky regained their sharp form as they have improved with each and every tournament game in March.

They are big and athletic and that is a major problem for the surprising UConn Huskies.  Although the Huskies have outstanding guard play, they simply don’t match up with the Wildcats.  That is the problem the Louisville Cardinals had ( a team that defeated UConn 3 times this year), and UCONN will have the same difficulty tonight.

Lay the points with the UK Wildcats, as the state of Kentucky keeps the title in-house for the third consecutive year.

Spot Play Selection for Super Bowl 2014

Super Bowl XLVIII

This is a potentially great match up between the AFC champs Denver Broncos and their former division rival, the NFC champion Seattle Seahawks in the “Big Game.”  The Seahawks have the #1 defense and Denver has the #1 offense, but the Broncos’ defense is not getting much respect lately.  Over the last four games, which includes two playoff wins, they have allowed 17 points or less each time.  Tom Brady and the Patriots couldn’t get anything going in their loss.  For this reason, I don’t think that Seattle has as big an edge as some believe.  It’s not the type of edge, for example, that Baltimore had in both of their Super Bowl victories.  The Broncos defense could easily be the “talk” after the game.

The big edge for Denver is at the quarterback position with Peyton Manning.  I’ll be the first to admit that I’ve been “burned” by Manning in the past.  However, I believe he is going to have a very good game, and his experience at this level will be the difference in the outcome.  It doesn’t hurt that he already  played a game at Met Life and he gets advice from his little brother on how to play if the conditions are windy.  Fortunately, it appears that conditions will be calm for Super Bowl Sunday, and that plays into Manning’s hands.  Look for him to badly outperform the younger and less experienced Russell Wilson.

Take the Broncos – 2 1/2 over the Seahawks.

Good luck!

Look no further.   Well-known handicapper and successful horseplayer Rich Nilsen is offering selections for both Friday and Saturday at Agameofskill.com.  Compared to other ridiculous prices out there, Nilsen’s analysis are only $4.97 and $9.97, respectively, for each day.

Last year Nilsen gave out several winners including top choices and best bets Trinniberg at 14-1 and Mizdirection, who was 20-1 morning line, and paid off at over 5-1.   Check it out.

#NFL Spot Play for week one, Sept. 8, 2013

The Dallas Cowboys have no business giving over a field goal to a quality rival like the New York Giants.  Spotplays.com looks for Eli Manning and the New York Giants to win this game outright over the blundering Tony Romo, who has a habit of losing important games especially at home.  Take the Giants with the points, along with another wager on the Giants with the money line.
